In My Mailbox

In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by the Story Siren.
Another week then! This week has stuff from the past couple of weeks, because I've missed a few, and didn't read much recently. I'm also very excited because I received my first ARCs this week from NetGalley!
So:

Pictured:
The Crowded Shadows, by Celine Kiernan - this is the sequel to the Poison Throne, I finished book one and had to know what happened next! Will be reviewing TPT soon.

Red Hot Fury, by Kasey Mackenzie - interesting, but it's taking me a while to get through.

Grave Witch, by Kalayna Price - love this book! My next review, will try and post it tomorrow.

Beyond the Pale, by Savannah Russe - I recognised the name from a short story I'd read, have only just started reading it.

Dragonsong, by Anne McCaffrey - again, really enjoyed this book. I'll try and review soon.

The Two Towers, by J R R Tolkien - audiobook - I've read these before, a long time ago, and thought it would be great to listen to it over the holiday.

For review, from NetGalley:

The Fallen Blade, by Jon Courtnenay Grimwood - fantasy, it sounds interesting!

Death's Sweet Embrace, by Tracey O'Hara - I'm supper excited to read this, as I really loved her first book.

How about you? What books have you received recently? Any thoughts on the ones I've mentioned here?
We love to hear from you!

Wow - nice mix of books there. Red Hot Fury looks interesting, and Grave Witch has been in my to-read pile for a while now.

Thanks for your nice comment on my blog! I appreciate it.
I'm a huge fan of LOTR but I've never listened to them...great idea!

Happy Reading (and listening)

Lots of goodies :) Thanks for stopping by! Grave Witch looks awesome! I just seen it yesterday on Amazon but didn't have the time to look into it. Have a great week!

oh, I just read Grave Witch too. I loved it as well. I loved the character of Death. I mean Falin was awesome too, but Death was very.. intriguing to me lol. I don't know how I want things to turn out, I mean I don't really think she can have a relationship with Death.. but what a cool concept! although I haven't posted my review either :)

I've heard such great things about Grave Witch, I'm really looking forward to that one! And Death's Sweet Embrace is on NetGalley? Must go check it out, I loved the first one!

Sally - I'll try and post reviews soon :)

Queen N - you're welcome! I like LOTR too, but when I've tried to re-read, Two Towers has always been hard. Listening seems to be the way to go, though.

UMB - Grave Witch is great. I think it'll be my next review. I really enjoyed it, have to wait till something like May for the sequel, though.

Sarah - same! I thought Death was so interesting. It's an interesting portrayal of him, too. I want to see where it goes. I don't think she can have a relationship with him, but it would certainly be... fun ;-)

Jenny - Yup, it's up there! I'm busy exploring, I didn't want to request lots of things straight away, but there is a lot of cool stuff there. Thanks for commenting!

Alison - thanks for the follow! I'm a big fan of paranormal & fantasy.

Anna - you're welcome, and thanks for the follow!

Bookish Snob - Yay! I'll try and review some of these books soon. And thanks for the follow :-)

Mel - it's excellent, you should definitely read it soon.

Slowest Bookworm - I'll try and get a review up tomorrow :-) I've finished my course work now, so more time to catch up & keep up with reviews.

I really enjoyed Red Hot Fury - and I agree it's a little tough to get into but definitely worth it! I'm looking forward to the next book =)

Beyond the Pale is the beginning to a really interesting series that I really enjoyed. I believe the author stopped writing books or maybe is taking a break. The series didn't really come to a real "ending" that I can remember and I hope to see more of them in the future.

Enjoy your books!!
