In My Mailbox

In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren.

I only got two books this week, so no video. I've been doing a lot of reading for classes, and haven't been reading so much in the evenings, which is when I normally get caught up in books.

"River Marked" by Patricia Briggs, which is the most recent book in the Mercy Thompson series - I've been wanting to read this for a while now! I'm about half way through, I hope to get a review up of this one early this week.

"Catching Fire" by Suzanne Collins - book 2 in the Hunger Games trilogy - I read THG for the first time last week, and had to get book 2 as soon as possible. I've started it, but it had to get bumped down the TBR pile because other things are due back in the library soon *sigh*. I'll get to it as soon as I can. I don't think I'm going to review THG after all, because most people are already very familiar with it, and I don't have that much time for reviewing just now - I need to get myself more organised!

I also got a couple of ebooks for review this week:
"Legacy" by Molly Cochran, which is supposed to be about witches, and sounds pretty cool. It's from Simon & Schuster's 'galley grab' program.

"Hold Me If You Can" by Stephenie Crowe - I've almost finished this, but it doesn't come out for a while, so I'll hold off posting the review until the release date. From Sourcebooks, via NetGalley.

What do you think of any of these books, if you've read them? And what's in your mailbox this week?

  3. I hate having to put books aside because something else is due back to the library. It always happens in the middle of the best books you don't want to put down. I hope you enjoy all of these titles!

  13. Thanks everyone for your comments!

Annie - Thanks for following! I'm looking forward to Catching Fire - I want to see where things go now the Hunger Games have past and what the Capitol actually do to Katniss & Peeta.

Moonlight Gleam - I quite like this cover too - I've seen a few different ones, and this one is kind of nice, I think :)

Sara M - I know, right? It's frustrating. But I want to give the-book-that's-due-back another chance, and hopefully it will get better.

Michelle @ just a lil lost - Thanks for stopping by! I love the moving clouds too - one of the other people who posts here, Emily, found the background - I think it's fun :)

Blodeudd - I've quite enjoyed River Marked so far, but I do miss seeing the rest of the pack. I really want to get started on Catching Fire but there's a few (good) things ahead of it in the TBR pile at the moment... I'll get there soon, I hope!

The Library Owl - I'm looking forward to reading it!

The Book Faerie - I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the HG trilogy - it seems like everyone really likes it! Thanks for stopping by the blog :)

Grace - nice to see you here again :)

Alison - I'm hoping to get to read Catching Fire very soon!

Kat - Thanks for commenting! I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the Hunger Games trilogy - the first one was so addictive!

Michelle G I love the Mercy Thompson series too! I need to look at some of her other stories sometime. I'm enjoying Hunger Games so far, too.

  14. You better order book 3 now! When I finished Catching Fire I wanted to throw it through a window because of that cliffhanger ending!! And I had to wait more than a year for book 3! It was painful.

  15. Finish THG! Great trilogy!

This week I got Lost in Time by Melissa de la Cruz (book 6 in the Blue Bloods series), The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin, The Lady of the Rivers by Phillippa Gregory, The Death Cure (final book of the Maze Runner trilogy) by James Dashner, and received a copy of Glow by Amy Kathleen Ryan for review (almost finished with reading this one actually and will post a review as soon as I'm done).
